On Steller Adventures
Our world is a fascinating place, and our role in it is emerging and adapting alongside. We now have access to tools for capturing image, video, sound, that would have boggled the mind of many who came before. We can capture whatever we choose and see that happening at sporting events, weddings, and as people simply walk down the street with their iPhones recording away.
What is it?
Steller is an app/platform that allows users to collect video, image, and text into a cohesive story using an intuitive drag and drop interface.
It is also a community where individuals can connect to other creators as well as curate and share the stories that appeal to them.
Why is it?
Our social media feeds are full of individual images that display a moment, but we then tend to stop there. Single image after single image. But what about a story? What about a collection? What about putting more intent into one place?
Steller allows you to do this in an easy to use interface from which you can share to various social media platforms. The simple design allows individuals to step away from some of the fears that can accompany the curation stage of assembling one’s work and to do so in that way we all know well: the sharing of a story.
Final thoughts
I’ve used it primarily to share a series of images, a photoadventure, of a day’s outing however there are as many possibilities for story and direction as there are people using it. From recipes, to lessons, to your usual family photos, the tool allows for the range of human expression to take form and be shared beyond.
I recommend you check it out!
