Lighthouse by day, lifesaver by night
Lighthouse Park, British Columbia

We have all sorts of diminishing strategies for protecting ourselves.

They’re learned and earned through struggles and experiences.

But do we also shine for those around us? As they shine for us?

If you judge a lighthouse by it’s ability to shine in the day, you’re going to think it a pretty lame construct. I think sometimes we use similarly negative views on ourselves and others, to our own misfortune, for we then miss out on the way we shine, when it is time.

A thought for the day:
When do you shine?
