Autumn Falls
Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia
The seasons and moments pass fleetingly.
We believe each day long, and the hours slow movement.
But a week is quickly past,
a month faster too.
The years gain speed as we turn corners
and doors open and close and open.
Then we realize we can go out the window
as time flies
and a rivulet of water trickles off of a fallen red leaf
not long for this world
beauty seen
and cherished
a month faster too.
The years gain speed as we turn corners
and doors open and close and open.
Then we realize we can go out the window
as time flies
and a rivulet of water trickles off of a fallen red leaf
not long for this world
beauty seen
and cherished
It’s there, all around, may we see the hints and whispers of beauty today, as we go about the passage of time and our footsteps.
